M-I-Z.... Z-O-U!!!!
This past week was a great week to be a Missouri Tiger!!! Rob decided to give us New Years Day off since we had been working so hard... and the Cotton Bowl was on tv. The entire team watched the football team topple the Arkansas Razorbacks and end a Missouri record setting season. With the Mizzou win at the bowl game, we were ready to get into the gym the following day and start our own record breaking season!!!
We started off with a bar intersquad where we put up 9 routines and hit every single one of them!! We definitely have some depth on bars with four routines returning from last years line up and some new faces emerging to step up and fill in the remaining two spots.
Our beam has been coming along very well thanks to Amy who has made sure that we are confident and stay in the moment. Although it may get tiring to hear "Butt down!!" on our landings, lol, it is definitely paying off and we are all sticking more dismounts.
Fig has been challenging the vault team with harder landings all week and you can definitely tell that they are getting a lot more confident and prepared for those meet landings this Saturday in Bowling Green.
We have had many visitors in the gym that I'd like to thank for coming by and showing their support. As always Jan Summers brought the team oranges and her cheerful attitude to our bar intersquad. Thank you so much Jan! It means a lot to us that you take the time out of your day to come support us in practice... and for bringng food lol!!! Dr. Trinklein, a professor and SAAC committee member also stopped by to show his support for the team. So thank you for your support!!!!
So a few more practices and then off we go to Ohio to compete at Bowling Green and to start our record breaking season!!!
GO TIGERS!!!
