Senior Alex Gold competed in her last regular season meet as a Tiger this afternoon.

Columbus, Ohio -The Tigers competed against both the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Panthers at St. John Arena in Columbus, Ohio today. Missouri put up a team total of 193.325 to top Pittsburgh (191.625). Ohio State won the competition with a 196.100 team total. Junior Mary Burke placed second in the all-around (38.700) and took the vault title. She also placed second on beam.
The Tigers started on bars at the tri-meet, recording a team total of 48.200 on the event. Ohio State started on vault, putting up a 48.600 and Pittsburgh scored 47.650 on beam. Missouri freshman Katelyn Trevino kicked off the line-up for the Tigers, scoring 8.725 on her routine. Sandra Ostad scored 9.675 and both Taylor Medrea and Lauren Swankoski recorded 9.750 scores. Junior Allie Heizelman closed out the line-up, scoring a 9.775.
The upperclassmen lead the way in the second rotation, Mary Burke scored 9.875 for the Tigers and Heizelman put up a 9.800 on her beam routine. Burke's score put her in a tie for second place on the event with Ohio State's Colleen Dean. Senior Alex Gold recorded a 9.600 to help the Tigers earn a 47.625 on the event. Howard and Aliceaacosta both tallied 9.150 scores and Swankoski earned a 9.200 on the event. Ostad exhibitioned on beam to score a 9.775.
Missouri rallied in the third rotation to pull ahead of the Panthers. The Tigers recorded a 48.675 on floor to put them at a team total of 144.500. Pittsburgh had a team score of 143.175 after the third rotation, and Ohio State scored 146.850. In the lead-off position, Medrea matched her career-high 9.725 score, which she set at the quad-meet last weekend. Gold, Swankoski and Burke all recorded scores of 9.750, and Howard posted a 9.700. Heizelman put up a 9.025 on the event.
The Tigers had their best run in the fourth rotation, scoring a 48.825 on vault. The score gave the Tigers a team total of 193.325 on the meet. Howard and Gold both scored 9.725 on the event, while Ostad and Swankoski posted 9.775 scores. The two tied for second on vault. Mary Burke put up a 9.825, earning the event title. Swankoski's score earned her an all-around total of 38.475, her second-highest of the season. Mary Burke's 38.700 all-around total earned her a second place finish.
Missouri Gymnastics hosts the Big 12 Championships next weekend on Saturday, Mar. 19.
