The Mizzou Gymnastics team chooses a new 'Word of the Week' to help keep focus and concentration inside and outside of the gym. The team is excited to share each of their words with you!
Mizzou Gymnastics paid a visit to Venture Out last month to take part in a few teambuilding activities. One of the team's favorites was the high ropes course, also known as the Alpine Tower!
Junior (2013): Suffered a season-ending injury at the Air Force Quad Meet...competed for the Tigers in the first two meets of the season, improving her season high scores on vault and bars at No. 3 Florida...was recognized for her academic achievements as a member of the Winter SEC Academic Honor Roll...plans to return for her senior season in 2014.
Sophomore (2012): Started the season as a solid all-around competitor for the Tigers, competing in the all-around for her first time against Iowa State...Matched her career-high score of 9.875 on vault twice in 2012...Earned a career-high 9.900 on floor twice in 2012 with her energetic floor routine...Also took home the Big 12 Championship Floor Title...Consistently scored above 37.925 each time she has competed in the all-around.
Freshman (2011): Set a new career-high on bars against Illinois...Matched
her personal best on bars against Nebraska...Competed in her first collegiate meet at the Metroplex Challenge to set a career-high on bars...Competed in seven meets on bars for Missouri in 2011.
Prep: Trained under Rich and Marilyn Trevino at Trevinos Gymnastics School...Earned the Regional Vault title...was a silver-medalist on floor at the Regional meet...was a JO National Qualifier in 2009 where she earned the silver medal on floor and 9th-place recognition on vault...Personal bests include 9.675 on vault and floor and 9.4 on bars and beam...Chose Mizzou over Michigan State University and SEMO.
Personal: Daughter of Rich and Marilyn Trevino...Born December 6, 1991...Native of Ovilla, Texas...Graduated high school with distinguished honors...Is pursuing a degree in Communications at Mizzou.
