A year after completing one of the finest careers in Missouri gymnastics history, Lauren "Bunny" Schwartzman moves to the sidelines as an undergraduate assistant coach in 2007. In her new role, she will serve as the primary balance beam coach and assist with floor choreography.

Schwartzman holds the top seven and 16 of the top 22 beam scores in Mizzou history. She stands as the only gymnast in Tiger history to record a perfect 10, which Schwartzman accomplished twice on beam in 2004.

In addition to her success on beam, Schwartzman shares the school floor exercise record of 9.975 with former gymnast Alisha Robinson.

The 2004 Big 12 Conference beam champion, Schwartzman earned All-Big 12 Conference honors four times in her career and was a two-time Big 12 Gymnast of the Week honoree.

During a fabulous senior campaign, Schwartzman finished the season tied for second in the nation on beam. She ranked as the country's top performer on the event six times over her career, including four weeks in 2006.

Over her four-year career, Schwartzman won 46 event titles, including 31 on beam, 13 on floor, two on vault and holds five Cat Classic individual event titles.

An exceptional student-athlete as well, she was a three-time Academic All-Big 12 first team selection.

A native of San Antonio, Texas, Schwartzman will graduate in may with a bachelor's degree in nutritional sciences.
