Mizzou Gymnastics paid a visit to Venture Out last month to take part in a few teambuilding activities. One of the team's favorites was the high ropes course, also known as the Alpine Tower!
Sophomore (2012): Stepped up for Missouri through a season riddled with injuries to become the Tigers' only all-around competitor...made her first-career appearance on the uneven bars at No. 3 Florida...made her first-career all-around score against LSU...consistently improved on her events throughout the season and improved her career high marks on three events at the SEC Championships...was recognized as a member of the 2013 Winter SEC Academic Honor Roll.
Freshman (2012): Was a staple in the Tiger beam lineup in her freshman season, making her first appearance in an exhibition routine at Southern Utah...Earned a career-high 9.800 score against Oklahoma...Had a clutch performance on the balance beam for Mizzou against Nebraska, helping the Tigers top the Huskers in the regular season for the first time since 1995.
Prep: Trained at Revolution Gymnastics under the direction of Carly Cresswell-Watson and Thomas Watson...Placed 3rd at Level 9 Nationals in 2009.
Personal: Comes to Mizzou from Evansville, Ind...Daughter of Danny and Andrea Kappler...Born Feb. 19, 1993...Chose Mizzou over Wisconsin, Maryland and Minnesota... Plans to study social work.
