Freshman: (2009) Contributed in her very first regular season meet as a Tiger with a solid 9.650 on the uneven bars ... has improved her season high every week on the event, most recently posting a 9.725 at Ohio State.
Prep: Trained at Cypress Academy under Terry Walker and Marina Wernaya. Qualified to U.S. Gymnastics Junior Olympic Nationals in 2005 and 2006, and as an alternate in 2007 and 2008. USAG Region III Bar Champion in 2006 and 2008. Placed second in all-around at USAG Texas State Championships in 2007. Cypress Team leader with a 9.7 score on bars and 37.175 all-around at HNI Open Team Cup in 2008.
Personal: Daughter of Joseph and Tammy Heizelman. Born Aug. 28, 1990. Has one brother, John, who attends Strake Jesuit College Preparatory in Houston, Tex. Graduated Summa Cum Laude from Cypress Fairbanks High School. Chose Missouri over N.C. State, Stanford and Denver. Accepted to the MU Honors College and wants to pursue a degree in a medical-related field.
