One year removed from the athletic arena, former Tiger gymnast Sarah Goebbert (formerly Zigler) makes the move to the sidelines as a student coach for Mizzou in 2007.
As a senior in 2006, Goebbert took home four event titles, including The Callaway Bank Cat Classic bars title. She finished the season ranked 12th in the South Central Region and 45th nationally on the uneven bars.
Goebbert won her first career event title when she posted a career-high 9.850 on bars as the Tigers beat No. 17 Arkansas in 2006. She also picked up bar titles against No. 6 Oklahoma and Centenary as a senior.
A constant on bars over her career, she tied for 12th place at the 2005 South Central Regional with a 9.825.
Goebbert transfered to Missouri in 2003 after competing at Arizona State during her freshman campaign.
In the classroom, Goebbert earned 2006 Academic All-Big 12 Conference first team honors and was named a National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women Scholar Athete.
The Franklin, Tenn., native married former Mizzou heptathalete Brandon Goebbert in September 2006. She will earn a bachelor's degree in communication in May.
