Potter, Schriewer Advance to Final Round of Futures Tour Qualifying

Mizzou golfers make cut after 72 holes.

Missouri senior Julia Potter and former Tigers Chelsea Schriewer are two of 96 players that have made the tournament cut into the final round at the Duramed Futures Tour Qualifying Tournament. Potter and Schriewer both concluded 72 holes with 293 totals and will be paired in the same foursome for Friday's final round.

Potter and Schriewer each cared rounds of 72 on Thursday and are among a group of eight tied for 33rd place in the tournament. They will tee off at 8:30 a.m. ET along with Mariajo Uribe of Colombia and Kay Hoey of California.

A field of 287 players has competed in Central Florida this week on four courses in Polk County for 2010 Duramed Futures Tour playing status. Of the 287 players, 96 have advanced to Friday's final round.

A total of 275 players and ties will earn some status for the 2010 Duramed Futures Tour, but players earning Priority 1 (full) status will be determined after the completion of the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament. Once status is determined for the 2010 LPGA Tour, status will be assigned on the 2010 Duramed Futures Tour.

The Mizzou women's golf team stands in 13th place after two rounds of play at the Central District Invitational in Parrish, Fla. The Tigers carded rounds of 306 and 309 for a two-round total of 615 in their first tournament of the spring.

The Missouri women's golf team has signed three high school standouts to National Letters of Intent. The trio of Kate Gallagher from Savannah, Mo., Taylor Gohn from Columbus, Ind. and Ari Savich from Carmel, Ind. will join the Tigers in the fall of 2010.

Potter Ties for 24th at Futures Tour Qualifying

Mizzou senior Julia Potter shot 73 in the final round of the Duramed Futures Tour Qualifying Tournament on Friday. She finished in a tie for 24th place with a five-round total of 366 (75-74-72-72-73). Former Tigers Chelsea Schriewer tied for 32nd in the tournament with a final total of 368 (72-73-76-72-75).
