Mizzou Women’s Golf will host the Fifth Annual Johnie Imes Invitational Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 3-4) at The Club at Old Hawthorne. The 54-hole event will get underway with 36 holes on Monday. The final round is scheduled for Tuesday. Play begins at 8 a.m. on both days.

Fifteen teams make up the 2001 field. In addition to the Tigers, the field includes Big 12 rivals Kansas and Kansas State. Other programs include Arkansas-Little Rock, Bradley, Colorado State, Illinois State, Florida International, Missouri State, Morehead State, Princeton, SMU, Texas State, UMKC and Wichita State.

For the third consecutive year, the `Birdies for a Cure' competition will help raise money for breast cancer research and awareness. Money raised will go to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. Click Here for more information on `Birdies for a Cure.'

Fans are invited to attend the event. The Club at Old Hawthorne, which opened in 2007, is located three miles east of Highway 63 on Route WW (Broadway).

Live scoring will be available on golfstat.com. Results will be posted on mutigers.com following the completion of each round.
