Second Annual Johnie Imes Invitational Starts Monday

The University of Missouri women's golf team will host the Second Annual Johnie Imes Invitational Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 29-30) at The Club at Old Hawthorne. The 54-hole event will get underway with 36 holes on Monday, with the final 18 holes scheduled for Tuesday. Play begins at 8:30 a.m. both days.
Joining Mizzou in this year's tournament will be Kansas, Missouri State, Southern Illinois, Memphis, Princeton, Bradley, Iowa, Texas State, Florida International, UMKC, Ole Miss, Drury, Middle Tennessee State, Arkansas-Little Rock, Mississippi State and Redlands Community College.
The Tigers are the defending champion after claiming the tournament title last year in the inaugural Imes Invitational. Julia Potter claimed the individual title in last year's event and was joined by three other Tigers (Madde Augustsson, Michelle Morgan and Chelsea Schriewer) in the top 10.
Fans are invited to attend the event. The Club at Old Hawthorne, which opened in 2007, is located three miles east of Highway 63 on Route WW.
Live scoring will be available on mutigers.com and golfstat.com. Results will be posted on mutigers.com following the completion of each round.
