Dale McNamara Second Round Res Get Acrobat Reader

Hannah Lovelock rebounded nicely in her second round of play at the 2011 Dale McNamara Invitational on Tuesday, firing a 1-under-par 71 to lift Mizzou into 14th heading into Wednesday's final round in Owasso, Okla.

The 2011 Dale McNamara Invitational is being hosted at the par-72 Patriot Golf Club in Owasso and features a talented field including ranked clubs Arizona State, Iowa State, Northwestern and Oklahoma State.

Lovelock, a senior from Surrey, England, recorded three birdies and two bogeys in her second trip through the Patriot Golf Club, including birdies on three of the course's five par-5's. Back-to-back birdies on holes 15-16 highlighted her steady day and allowed her to move into a tie for 29th.

Missouri (320-306--626) shaved 14 strokes off its Monday score and moved ahead of Southern Mississippi in the team standings. The Tigers are within striking distance of several teams, including Kansas who will be paired with Mizzou tomorrow morning.

Another senior, Marissa Cook, also improved on Tuesday shooting a 4-over-par 76. She opened the event with an 83, but shaved seven shots off that score to move into a tie for 62nd place. Kate Gallagher, MU's top player on Monday was steady as well, shooting 79 and is tied for 50th.

Play at the 2011 Dale McNamara Invitational concludes on Wednesday, with the final round beginning at 8 a.m.
