Columbia, Mo. - Mizzou Women's Golf opens its 2011-12 campaign at the Dale McNamara Invitational (Sept. 12-14) on the Patriot Golf Course in Owasso, Okla.

The 54-hole event will begin at 8 a.m. on Sept. 12 and 18 holes of golf will be played each day.

Hosted by the University of Tulsa, the McNamara Invitational features 15 of the country's top women's golf programs, including four clubs ranked among the Top 50 in last year's final standings. No. 11 Arizona State leads that group of ranked teams, while No. 21 Iowa State, No. 37 Northwestern and No. 44 Oklahoma State add to the opportunity for Missouri's young squad. Kansas State and Kansas round out the Big 12 participants and Central Florida, Southern Mississippi, Arkansas-Little Rock, Longwood, Middle Tennessee State, Arkansas State and Oral Roberts complete the field.

Missouri will be led this week by sophomore Taylor Gohn, who is playing in the top spot for Head Coach Stephanie Priesmeyer. Gohn is coming off a solid freshman campaign, highlighted by a ninth place (All-Tournament Team) finish at the 2011 Big 12 Championships.

Senior Hannah Lovelock is golfing second for MU. A native of Surrey, England, Lovelock was Missouri's top performer as a junior and boasted a team-leading 75.9 stroke average.

Another senior, Marissa Cook, will golf third and is coming off a strong finish to her junior season as well. The Edwardsville, Ill., product finished 11th at last year's Big 12 Championships and narrowly missed a spot on the All-Tournament squad.

Freshman Michelle Butler makes her collegiate debut for the Tigers next week. The highest ranked incoming player in school history, Butler had an outstanding week of qualifying and enters Mizzou as the nation's No. 9-ranked high school player in the class of 2011 by Golfweek.

Ariana Savich rounds out a talented starting five. Just a sophomore, Savich finished 37th in this event last season with rounds of 79-78-76 to help the Tigers finish 11th overall.
