COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou Women's Golf team will open up the fall season this weekend in Charleston, S.C., at the Cougar Classic. Featuring seven top-30 opponents, as ranked in the Golfweek Women's Preseason Top 30, the 11th Annual Cougar Classic will take place Sunday, Sept. 8 - Thursday, Sept. 10 at Yeaman Halls Club.

The Cougar Classic field consists of 20 teams, including No. 14-ranked Florida, No. 19 Baylor, No. 20 South Carolina, No. 21 Clemson, No. 24 LSU, No. 25 NC State and No. 30 Mississippi State. Auburn, Charleston Southern, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, Furman, Maryland, Mississippi, UNCG, Penn State, Tennessee, Wake Forest and Wisconsin round out the competition.

The teams will compete on the Par 72, 6,204-yard course at Yeaman Halls with the first round beginning at 8 a.m. on Sunday. Tee times begin at 8 a.m. and continue until 1:10 p.m. Tee times will again begin at 8 a.m. for the second round, on Monday. Round three is set for Tuesday with groups `A' teeing off in a shotgun at 8:50 a.m. and groups `B' teeing off in a shotgun at 9 a.m.
