Potter Wins Indiana Women's Golf Association Player of the Year

Mizzou junior Julia Potter has earned the Indiana Women's Golf Association (IWGA) Alice O'Neal Dye Player of the Year. Potter, a native of Granger, Ind., finished with 96 points in the IWGA's standings, 26 points ahead of second place.

In July, Potter won her second-consecutive Indiana Women's State Amateur Championship with a three-round total of 216. She also advanced to the round of 32 in the United States Amateur Championship.

Potter is beginning her junior season at Mizzou this fall. The first tournament action for the Tigers is the Mary Fossum Invitational Sept. 20-21.
