Potter's Run at U.S. Amateur Ends

Megan McChrystal defeated Mizzou's Julia Potter 3&2 at the United States Women's Amateur Championship. Potter, who will be a junior at MU this fall, held a 1-up lead after four holes but dropped the next two holes to fall behind.

McChrystal, who will be a junior at LSU this fall, advances to the Quarterfinals of the U.S. Amateur, which is being played at the Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Ore.

Potter was the first MU golfer to qualify for the match play portion of the U.S. Amateur and advanced to the second round of match play after defeated Dottie Ardina, 3&2, on Wednesday.
