Two members of the Mizzou women's golf team picked up State Amateur Championships on Thursday. Chelsea Schriewer birdied the final hole to claim the Missouri Women's State Amateur title, while Julia Potter won her second-straight Indiana Women's State Amateur title.

Schriewer, who will be a senior for Missouri this fall, entered the final round five shots behind Ellen Port, but carded a two-under-par round of 70 on Thursday after shooting 76 and 74 in the first two rounds. She made a birdie putt on the last hole to claim the one-shot victory over Port with a 220 total.

Potter, a junior-to-be, shot a 74 on Thursday at Ackerman Hills Golf Course in West Lafayette, Ind. after recording a pair of 71's in the first two rounds of play. She finished with a 54-hole score of 216, three shots ahead of second place. Last year, Potter won her first Indiana State Amateur.

Four other golfers from Mizzou competed in the Missouri State Amateur held at Osage National Golf Course at the Lake of the Ozarks. Lindsey Haupt finished in fourth place with a 54-hole total of 230. MU assistant coach Mindy Bullard claimed seventh place with a 234 score, while Kelsey Meyer took 10th with a three-round total of 234. Madison Marcolla finished second in the Championship Flight B with a 238 total.

Incoming Tiger freshman Alex Bell joined Potter at the Indiana State Amateur and finished in a tie for 27th place after carding a 54-hole score of 239.
