Hepler Earns WGCA All-American Scholar Honors

Columbia, Mo. - Mizzou freshman golfer Katherine Hepler was named a 2012-2013 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar, as announced by the organization Monday (July 1). A chemical engineering major, Hepler is one of 644 women's collegiate golfers across the country to be recognized with the honor.

Criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team includes a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50. Hepler joins 21 other Southeastern Conference student-athletes on the scholar team.

Mizzou Women's Golf is preparing for a challenging 2013-14 slate. The Tigers open the fall season on September 8 at the Cougar Classic in Charleston, S.C.
