Potter Claims Top-25 Finish at NCAA Regional

    GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Missouri junior Julia Potter turned in a round of one-over-par 73 in Saturday's final round of the NCAA East Regional in Gainesville, Fla. and finished in a tie for 23rd place with a three-round total of 220.

    Potter birdied her third hole of the day, but game the stroke back after a bogey two holes later. She was even par on her first nine holes, which was the back nine after she began her round on the 10th hole. Potter was even though 14 holes on the day, but made bogeys on three of her final four holes.

    Dawn Shockley of Denver finished first in the individual standings with a 209 score leading her team to a top finish in the team standings.

    Stephanie Connelly (210) of Central Florida and Marina Alex of Vanderbilt (214) were the two individuals to earn a bid to the NCAA Championships.
