Junction City, Ore. - The University of Missouri women's golf squad is in third place following the opening two rounds of the Oregon Duck Invitational in Junction City, Ore. Mizzou shot rounds of 310 and 305 for a two-round total of 615, just seven shots behind San Diego State, who is in second after the opening day. Four of the Tigers five players playing at the event are currently in the Top 25 after the first day three of those players are in the top 16.

Senior Elin Ohlsson continued to her strong play in the opening two rounds firing the second-lowest score of the first round (73) and then a 76 in the second round finishing alone in third place in the individual rankings. Freshman Denise Knaebel was also strong, following up a tough round of 79 in the opener with a 75 in the second and currently sits in a tie for ninth place with a two-round tally of 154.

Junior Mindy Bullard had her best round of the spring in her second trek around the Shadow Hills Country Club (Par 72, 5,953 yards). After shooting an opening round of 80, Bullard bounced back with a 76, giving her a day one total of 156 and putting her in a tie for the 16th spot heading into the final day.

Sophomore Maria Ohlsson was consistent on Monday, shooting rounds of 78 and 79 for a total of 157, putting her in a tie for 21st place, just one stroke behind a group that is tied for 16th. Freshman Kelli Strubinger wraps up the Tigers scoring with a two-round total of 161, good for a tie for 34th heading into the final day.
