Hepler Leads Tigers Through Sir Pizza Terrapin Challenge

Miami Lakes, Fla.--Freshman Katherine Hepler tied for 12th overall at the Sir Pizza Terrapin Challenge today at Don Shulas Golf Course in Miami Lakes, Fla. Hepler shot 6-over par in the third round to finish with a 225 score. Missouri tied for ninth overall with former Big 12 foe Kansas, after shooting 304-307-307--918 through three rounds. NC State won the tournament, followed by Florida International and Miami who placed second and third overall.

Playing as an individual, Laura Kraft tied with Hepler for 12th place overall in the tournament. Kraft tallied four birdies and fired a 1-over par third round score to finish 9-over par in the tournament.

Also contributing to the team score, Alina Rogers tied for 30th overall. Rogers shot 13-over par through three rounds after putting up a 77 in the third round of play. Taylor Gohn tied for 50th overall going 78-80-76--234 in the tournament.

Michelle Butler finished just one stroke behind Gohn with an overall total 19-over par. Ariana Savich was just one stroke behind Butler as well as she tied for 57th overall in the tournament.
