Former Tiger Mindy Bullard is in her sixth season as part of the MU coaching staff. Bullard concluded her playing career by leading the Tigers to their first-ever NCAA Championships in 2005. Her playing days were highlighted by a runner-up finish at the 2003 Big 12 Conference Championships, hosted by Missouri.
"It has been a tremendous asset to our program having Mindy on board as an assistant coach," Priesmeyer said. "From day-to-day activities, to recruiting, to coaching, it has been so positive for our golf team. Mindy is such a competitor and brings a ton of youth, experience and fire to the golf course. This team really looks up to her and certainly has benefited from her competitive desire."
Last summer, Bullard finished in seventh place at the Missouri Women's Amateur Championship.
Bullard led the Tigers to their first appearance at the NCAA National Championships with her outstanding effort at the NCAA Central Regional. She finished in a tie for 20th at the 2005 NCAA Regional with a total of 226, which tied her with Maria Ohlsson as the leading scorer for the Tigers.
She lowered her stroke average by almost a half stroke from the fall to the spring in her senior season and was one of the most consistent Tiger competitors. Bullard shot a career-best three-round total of 222 at the Mountain View Intercollegiate where she finished in a tie for 23rd place and was one of two Tigers to play in every tournament during the 2004-05 season.
Bullard had a 76.2 stroke average during her senior season as a Tiger, including a 76.0 average during the spring campaign of her senior year.
In 2003, as a sophomore, Bullard led the Tigers to a runner-up finish at the Big 12 Championships, which Mizzou hosted at the Country Club at Missouri. She finished second in the individual standings, shooting a season-low 223 and was one of three Tigers to medal at the event.
She shot her career best round, a 71, in the final round of the Las Vegas Shootout in the fall of 2003.
Bullard earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Leisure Service Management from Mizzou. She is a native of Warrensburg, Mo., where she was a four-time All-State golfer and won the State title as a junior. She took second in her senior season, third as sophomore and eighth in her freshman season.
