Columbia, Mo. -Missouri Women's Basketball hosts the Eastern Illinois Panthers on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Admission to the game will be one dollar for those who show a military ID and their guests.
LAST TIME OUT
The Tigers went head-to-head with the Northwestern Wildcats on Saturday, Dec. 3. Missouri was given its first loss of the season as the Tigers fought to keep control over the close contest. The Tigers dropped 74-70 to Northwestern although Missouri shot 48.1 percent to the Wildcats' 41.8.
Missouri will take on North Dakota in a double-header with the Men's Hoops team Saturday. Missouri Women will play at 12:30 on Dec. 10 followed by the Men's match-up against Navy at 4 p.m. The Tigers will have a week to recover before hosting Evansville on Dec. 19.
SCOUTING EASTERN ILLINOIS
The Eastern Illinois Panthers are 5-1 on the season, coming off of a big win over rival Western Illinois. The Panthers topped the Leathernecks 88-55 with Kelsey Wyss scoring a team-leading 16 points. Eastern Illinois started the season 4-0 with wins over Oakland City, Bradley, Illinois State and San Jose State before dropping to Sacramento State 89-85 on Nov. 26.
SERIES HISTORY WITH EIU
Missouri leads the all-time series 7-1 against Eastern Illinois. The Tigers and the Panthers last met in 2010 at Lantz Arena in Charleston, Ill.. The contest resulted in an 81-73 victory for Eastern Illinois.
OHIO VALLEY SERIES HISTORY
Missouri leads the series history with Ohio Valley opponents 34-5. The Tigers have accumulated most of their wins over Southeast Missouri, boasting a 13-1 series record.
