Columbia, Mo. - The Tigers head to Lubbock, Texas on Sunday to take on No. 25 Texas Tech. This is the second meeting that the two teams will have this season. The contest will air on FSN at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5.
LAST TIME OUT
Junior Sydney Crafton led the Tigers offensively with eight points and five assists as Mizzou fell to Baylor 71-41. In a game where every player saw minutes on the floor, the Tigers could not hang on against the top-ranked Lady Bears. BreAnna Brock also put up eight points for Mizzou, while Christine Flores and Liene Priede each recorded seven points.
Missouri will return to Columbia on Wed., Feb. 8 to host Iowa State at 7 p.m. before heading to Norman to take on the Sooners on the 11th. The Tigers also have a Valentine's Day date with Texas A&M at 7 p.m. in Mizzou Arena. The game will serve as the annual Pink Zone game, where the Tigers join forces with the Susan G. Komen Foundation to raise breast cancer awareness.
SCOUTING TEXAS TECH
The Lady Raiders are 15-6 on the season after going undefeated in non-conference play. Ranked at No. 25 in the AP Top 25 Coaches Poll, The Lady Raiders will face Mizzou after suffering a 67-55 loss to No. 16/18 Texas A&M. Since the Tigers and Lady Raiders last met, Texas Tech has gone 1-5, breaking a five-game losing streak with a victory over Texas on Jan. 28. Texas Tech is led by Kierra Mallard, who averages 12.8 ppg and 8.6 rpg.
SERIES HISTORY WITH TEXAS TECH
The Tigers are 6-13 against Texas Tech in program history. The Tigers and the Lady Raiders first met in 1994 in the NCAA Midwest Tournament. The Tigers dropped the game to the Lady Raiders, 75-61. More recently, the two teams met on Jan. 7, 2012 at Mizzou Arena. It was a hard fought battle, but the Lady Raiders came out on top, 69-63. The Tigers' last victory over Texas Tech was in the 2009-10 season. Missouri topped the Lady Raiders 58-55 in overtime at Mizzou Arena.

Missouri is 254-308 in Big Eight/Big 12 series history. The Tigers have winning records over several conference foes including Iowa State, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
