BreAnna Brock and Christine Flores made a big showing in their home state.

Corpus Christi, Texas -- The Mizzou Women's Basketball team continued their winning ways with a 75-58 win over Texas A&M Corpus Christi Saturday night (Nov. 12). The senior inside duo of Christine Flores and BreAnna Brock was too much for the Islanders as they combined for 52 points and 28 rebounds.
The first half saw the two Texas natives, Brock and Flores, dominate the game. Brock recorded her first career double-double as she had already tallied 17points and 12 rebounds by halftime. Together, Brock and Flores accounted for 19 of the team's 27 rebounds and most of the Tigers' points. With just over a minute left in the first half, freshman Morgan Eye hit a three-pointer that was followed up by another from freshman Bree Fowler. Mizzou held a 37-29 lead going into the second half.
Flores continues her climb on MU's All-Time Blocks list as she has eight so far this season. The total (124) ties her for fifth on the list with Kesha Bonds who played for Missouri from 1995-1999.
The Tigers came out red-hot in the second half, shooting 5-for-6 from the field to extend their lead to 51-33. Mizzou held the Islanders to 33 percent shooting from the floor, which marks the second consecutive game they have held an opponent under 35 percent.
Freshman guard Kyley Simmons stepped up this evening, recording a career-high 11 assists. She tallied six points on the night and earned her second regular season start. Simmons has made herself a consistent presence on the court in all four games this season.
Mizzou finishes off its three-game road trip on Wednesday, Nov. 16 as the Tigers take on the St. Louis Bilikens at 7 p.m. Stay tuned to MUTigers.com for more information on Missouri Women's Basketball.
