Duluth, Ga. - Senior Bri Kulas led the Tigers with 18 points and 11 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season, however it wasn't enough to put the Tigers on top of the Mississippi State Bulldogs. The Tigers fell 73-70 to MSU in a hard-fought contest to drop to 17-13 on the season.

Three Tigers finished in double-figures on the night as Sierra Michaelis added 16 points and Morgan Eye had another 10 for the Tigers. Michaelis knocked down 4-of-5 treys on the night, helping the Tigers to a 47.8-percent shooting night from distance. The Tigers held Mississippi State to just over 28-percent shooting from the three-point line on the night.

The first half was quick and aggressive for both teams, Mississippi State took a 38-34 lead into the locker room at the buzzer, but they didn't get there without a fight. Missouri and MSU tied the game five times throughout the half with eight lead changes. The Tigers shot over 40-percent from the field in the first half, outrebounding the Bulldogs 19-14.

The second half of play was even more high-energy as the two teams traded the lead back and forth. With the final minute of the game winding down, the Tigers trailed MSU by just three points. Sierra Michaelis knocked down a layup to bring the Tigers within one as the clock hit 53 seconds. MSU maintained the lead in the final seven seconds of play making critical shots from the foul line. A last-second Tiger shot attempt fell just short to give Mizzou the lead.

The Tigers will return to Columbia to await their postseason fate. For more news and updates on Mizzou Women's Basketball, check in to MUTigers.com. Fans can also follow the team on Twitter (@MizzouWBB), Instagram (@MizzouWBB) and Facebook (facebook.com/MizzouWBB).
