High School: Street & Smith's Honorable Mention All-American and McDonald's All-America nominee ... WBCA High School All-America nominee ... named Junior of the Year and Senior of the Year by the St. Louis American ... also tabbed as the 2004 Earl Austin Achievement Award Co-Player of the Year ... four-time Missouri Basketball Coaches Association All-State honoree ... averaged 16.3 points and 10.1 rebounds per game in her senior season at Duchesne High School under coach Charlie Elmendorf ... although she will never play there in college now that the basketball team calls Paige Sports Arena home, Mannings saw plenty of action on the Hearnes Center floor after three appearances in the state playoffs ... most recently, led the Pioneers to a 27-4 record and a second-place finish in Class 4 in 2004 ... in two tournament games last year, averaged 19.5 points, 15.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks ... led Duchesne to the 2003 Class 4 state title with a 24-point, 19-rebound, eight-block performance ... also was part of the 2001 team that placed third ... three-time member of the Gateway Athletic Conference North First Team ... also a two-time member of the GAC All-Academic team.
Personal: Daughter of Willie and Montica Mannings ... is a pre-communications major ... would like to earn a career as a college basketball analyst ... her aunt, Linda Lorelle, could provide training in that area, as she earned a master's degree in broadcast journalism from Mizzou; she is currently an anchor at KPRC-TV in Houston ... a cousin, Mansel Carter, played football at Notre Dame in the early 1980's.
