Columbus, Ohio -Second-ranked Missouri wrestler Nicholas Marable (Collierville, Tenn.) earned a 3-2 win over No. 1 ranked Mack Lewnes of Cornell at the 43rd annual National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) All-Star Classic in St. John Arena. Wrestling at 165 pounds, this marks Marable's third career win over Lewnes.

Marable scored early with a takedown in the first period and Lewnes earned an escape to finish the first three minutes of action, 2-1. Tiger junior Marable chose down to start the second and escaped to increase his lead to 3-1. Lewnes escaped in the third to pull within one of Marable, but was unable to overcome the Missouri advantage.

Missouri's 165 pound starter entered the match with a 2-1 season record and 55-13 career mark. Tonight's bout does not count towards Marable's record.

Marable was the first Missouri wrestler since two-time National Champion and four-time All-American Ben Askren to represent the Tigers at an All-Star Classic dual.

The fifth-ranked Missouri wrestling team (3-0) will travel East to compete in the Northeast Duals on Saturday, Nov. 29. Missouri will square off with Old Dominion beginning at 10 a.m. (CT). The Tigers will also take on Maryland, Harvard and Brown.
