Missouri opens up the season ranked ninth by the NWCA/USA Today Division I Coaches Poll and looks to build on a successful 2010-11 season that saw the program finished second at Big 12's and 19th at NCAA's. Missouri returns seven of their program record nine NCAA qualifiers from last year, including No. 5 Alan Waters at 125 pounds and No. 6 Dorian Henderson at 174.
This year's starting lineup features two seniors in Henderson and Brandon Wiest (141), three juniors in No. 15 Nathan McCormick (133), Mike Larson (184) and No. 11 Brent Haynes (197) and a trio of sophomores with Waters, No. 13 Kyle Bradley (149) and No. 13 Zach Toal (165). Also jumping into the lineup for the first time will be redshirt freshmen Drake Houdashelt (157) and Devin Mellon (HWT)
