Columbia, MO - The Missouri wrestling team will send six grapplers to the 2010 NCAA Wrestling Championships in Omaha, Neb., from March 18-20.

Leading the way for the Tigers, two-time All-American, Nick Marable (Collierville, Tenn.) earned a No. 3 seed, and will face Stanford's Nick Amuchastegui in the 165-pound bracket. The senior won his third consecutive Big 12 Championship title this past weekend, with a 6-5 decision over Iowa State's Jon Reader in the finals.

At 141 pounds, junior Todd Schavrien (Poway, Calif.) will take the mat against No. 1 seed, true freshman Kyle Dake, of Cornell. Schavrien, who made his first appearance at NCAA's in 2009, was defeated by Dake at National Duals in January by a 6-1 decision.

A 2009 National qualifier, sophomore Dorian Henderson (Columbus, Ga.) will square off with Shane Riccio of Bucknell at 174 pounds.

Senior Maxwell Askren (Hartland, Wis.) will enter next week's Championships as the No. 6 seed at 184 pounds. He will battle Stanford's Zack Giesen in the opening round as he attempts to earn three-time All-American honors.

Making his first appearance on the National Stage, redshirt freshman Brent Haynes (Kansas City, Mo.) secured a No. 12 seed for the tournament. Carrying a 25-13 record, Haynes will face Ohio University's Eric Schuth in the opening round.

Defending heavyweight National Champion, Mark Ellis (Peculiar, Mo.), secured a No. 9 seed. He will see the winner of the heavyweight bracket pigtail match, either Kent State's Brendan Barlow or Joshua Armone of Cornell.
