Senior Wrestler Prepares for Big 12's

Hey Tiger Fans, just dropping in for a very short blog. My next blog will contain results from he Big 12 tournament that we are competing in this Saturday in Omaha, Nebraska. The team is very excited for the event and we have prepared well. The coaches have been working their tails off to get us prepared and we all BELIEVE that we will walk away Saturday as the 2009 Big 12 Champions. Today we had our annual Big 12 "media day" in which all the local publications, newspaper and TV reporters come in and gather our thoughts on the upcoming tournament. It's a pretty cool experience in which we have cameras in our faces and we have to answer some pretty cool questions and brag about the team as well. Tigers Defeat Huskers, 22-16

The Missouri wrestling team (7-4, 1-0 Big 12) opened its Big 12 season with a hard fought win over the Huskers (8-8, 0-1 Big 12), 22-16. This marks the first dual victory for the Tigers in Lincoln since a 24-16 win in 2001. Missouri improves to 7-4, notching their first conference win of the season.

No. 17 Tigers Travel To Nebraska

The No. 17 Missouri Tigers (6-4) travel to Lincoln, Neb. To take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers (8-7) at the NU Coliseum, Friday, Jan. 29 at 7 p.m. CST. The dual is the Big 12 opener for both squads, as they both seek to open their conference campaign with a win.
