MINNEAPOLIS - The top-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys defeated the No. 6 Tigers Saturday afternoon in the NWCA National Duals semifinals, 22-9. The Tigers got on the board quickly with a win at 125 pounds, but the Cowboys won seven of the next nine bouts and were on their way to another victory over Mizzou this season.

The Tigers picked up wins at 125, 141, and 197 pounds. Waters won for the second time over OSU freshman, Eddie Klimara by a score of 3-1. Nicholas Hucke also found a way to get a 4-1 decision over Julian Feikert at 141. In a match where reversals were the popular scoring technique, senior Brent Haynes defeated Darnell Bortz of OSU, 10-4.

Missouri lost a few tight matches, especially at 133, 174, and 285 pounds. Senior Nathan McCormick fell to No. 6 Jon Morrison despite defeating his counterpart twice this season. Heavyweight Dom Bradley also dropped his first match of the year against No. 3 Alan Gelogaev, 4-3. The heavyweight match almost got out of hand halfway through the second frame after Bradley ran Gelogaev out of bounds. Both grapplers were docked for unsportsmanlike conduct after the altercation.

The Tigers will face off against the No. 2 Iowa Hawkeyes in Saturday's third place match. Oklahoma State will meet up with host-school Minnesota with the winner being crowned the 2013 NWCA National Duals champion. The action kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at Williams Arena in Minnesota.
