OUTLOOK: Mark Wall returns as a solid Missouri wrestler at 184 pounds. Hard working and determined, Wall will continue to improve in the practice room and work his way to the top of the Tiger program.

"Mark did a lot of training over the summer," Head Coach Brian Smith said. "He increased his strength with serious lifting workouts and should bring a lot to the team this year by helping add depth at 184 pounds."

2003-04: Wall wrestled at 184 pounds his redshirt year, competing in seven open tournaments throughout the 2003-04 season. Racking up an even 14 wins and 14 losses, Wall was 3-6 against Big 12 opponents and finished second at the Oklahoma Open on Nov. 29, losing his final match to Jack Jensen of Oklahoma State in an 8-2 decision. Competing at the Roger Denker Open in Warrensburg, Mo., on Jan. 10., Wall took sixth on the day with a 3-3 record.

HIGH SCHOOL: Capturing three consecutive Missouri state championship titles in the 145-160- and 189-pound weight class (2001, 2002, 2003), Wall finished third as a freshman in 2000. Head coach Bob Glasgow helped take the Oak Grove Panthers to a state championship during Wall's senior year, (2003), improving on their second place finishes from 2000 and 2002.

PERSONAL: Undecided on his major, Wall is the son of Ron and Kathy Wall and was born Jan. 11, 1985, in Independence, Mo. One of three sons, Jimmy (21) and Jeff, (24), Mark is the youngest.
