AS A SOPHOMORE:
Outdoor: All-Big 12 as a member of the 400m relay team ... competed at four meets, including the Big 12 Championships ... had a personal-best mark in the pole vault, clearing 16-2 at the Emporia State University Twilight Qualifier. Indoor: Competed in the heptathlon in the Big 12 Conference Meet with a 12th place finish (4,675).
AS A FRESHMAN:
Outdoor: Season-best pole vault came at the Tom Botts meet where he finshed fifth with a vault of 15-0. Indoor: In the pole vault, James finished fifth at the Missouri Invitational (13-5.75), fifth at the Missouri All-Comers (15-0) and seventh at both the Tiger Invitational and the MU-KSU-KU Triangular (14-0 and 13-5.25).
