COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Missouri men's swimming and diving team claimed a second-consecutive spot in the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) released its second poll of the season late last week. The Tiger men fell one spot - from 23rd to 24th - as a result of an idle period in their dual schedule during the voting period

The Mizzou women dropped out of the top 25 after their dual loss to Kansas, but are one of only five teams receiving votes in the poll and sit at No. 29, just ahead of Notre Dame.

The Georgia Lady Bulldogs defeated top-ranked Florida last week and as a result have moved into the No. 1 spot in the poll, claiming five first place votes. SEC Conference rival Auburn claimed the other three first place votes and is ranked second.

On the men's side, Auburn is the unanimous No. 1 team, followed by Bay Area rivals Stanford at second and California at third.

The next action for both the Mizzou men and women will come from Nov. 18-20, when they travel to West Lafayette, Ind., for the Purdue Invite. The Tigers will face a field at Purdue that includes three men's teams - No. 7 Florida, No. 13 Northwestern and No. 14 Purdue - and three women's teams - No. 4 Florida, No. 17 Tennessee and No. 20 Purdue - that all appear in the latest CSCAA Coaches' Poll.
