COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou men's diving duo of junior Greg DeStephen and sophomore Dante Jones wrapped up day two of the NCAA Zone "D" Diving Championships with the 3-meter dive. Both divers finished in the top-eight amongst a tough field of competition.

Jones, who finished in fifth on the 1-meter on Friday, took sixth-place on the 3-meter. The sophomore bounced back from some early missed dives to notch some impressive scores in the finals as he finished with a total of 707.40. His finals score of 388.25 was the third-best of the round and a new personal best for Jones, giving him the second-best score in Missouri history.

DeStephen finished at eighth place out of 17 divers, posting a score of 679.95. The Columbus, Ohio, native posted the fourth-best score in the preliminaries at 351.65, but missed a few dives in the finals as he scored a 679.95.

The Tigers will have one more day to qualify for the Men's NCAA Championships, set for Thursday, March 26 through Saturday, March 28 in College Station, Texas. The divers will take the platform on Saturday morning, beginning with the women's event at 10:00 a.m. CT. Stay tuned to mutigers.com for more information.
