Greg Triefenbach enters his fourth season as diving coach at the University of Missouri.

The 2002-03 season was especially memorable for Triefenbach as all eight of his divers qualified for the NCAA Zone Diving Championships. Triefenbach was also named "Coach of the Meet" at the 2002-03 Big 12 Swimming & Diving Championships.

This past summer, two of Triefenbach's divers, Evan Watters and Aaron Wionzek competed at their respectable National Championships. Watters finished 12th at the U.S. Senior National Championships, and Wionzek finished 6th at the Canadian National Championships.

After turning the Virginia Tech University diving program around, Brian Hoffer decided that Greg Triefenbach was just the person to help the Mizzou diving team take the next step.

In just three seasons, Triefenbach turned around a virtually non-existent VTU diving program as he led two divers to Atlantic 10 records.

Before Virginia Tech, Triefenbach served as an assistant diving coach at his alma mater, Lousiana State.

Besides being a five-time All-American, he was a two-time Southeast Conference Champion and placed fifth at the Olympic Festival in St. Louis in 1995. As a junior at LSU, Triefenbach placed third on the 10-meter board at the NCAA Championships.

Since coming to Mizzou, he has coached numerous divers that have finaled at the Big 12 Championships, highlighted by Kristy Wanner's second place in the 1-meter in 2001. This season he has assembled one of the more talented men's and women's diving teams in the history of Missouri and will look to have his first Big 12 champion.

A native of Bridgeton, Mo. he has been involved with the Clayton Diving Alliance doing clinics for four years, something that he continues to do while serving as the diving coach at Missouri.

Triefenbach and his wife Lisa reside in Columbia.
