Tigers defeat the Drury Panthers

2011-12 (FRESHMAN): Earned a fifth-place finish in the 100 free (48.28) against Drury ... Part of the 800 free relay team that took first place at the Mizzou Invite with a time of 6:36.05 ... Placed fifth in the 150 free (1:14.41) at the Show-Me Showdown ... Also helped the 400 free relay team finish second at the Showdown with a time of 3:06.86.

HIGH SCHOOL: Sobczak swam for Club Wolverine in Michigan ... Was also the third ranked Michigan sprinter after his junior year of high school ... He posted best yard times of 45.74 in the 100 free and 51.24 in the 100 back.

Coach Rhodenbaugh: "Stephen will really help our sprint freestyle at Missouri. As a junior, Stephen went 45.74 at the Michigan High School State Championships. Stephen has only been swimming year round for a couple of seasons and we believe he will vastly improve in his sprint free and backstroke during his senior season and freshman year here at Mizzou."
