Mizzou will compete at the Championships Thursday through Saturday
2011-12 (FRESHMAN): Named Big 12 Swimmer of the Week on Oct. 26 after finishes of first in the 150 breast, second in the 300 IM and third in the 75 breast at the Show-Me Showdown ... Won the 100 breast (56.33) , 200 breast (2:02.67) and 200 IM (1:51.50) against Kentucky and SIU ... Took first in the 200 breast (2:01.49) and third in the 100 breast (56.48) at the Southwest Plunge ... Placed first in the 200 breast (1:57.88) and second in the 200 IM (1:48.00) at the Mizzou Invite ... At the Big 12 Championships, finished second in the 100 breast (54.43), third in the 200 breast (1:57.81) and eighth in the 200 IM (1:47.80).
HIGH SCHOOL - Kozlovskij comes to Missouri from Lithuania, where he swam competitively enough to earn a national ranking of 12th overall from collegeswimming.com. His converted times are impressive: Kozlovskij's best times in the 100 breast and 200 breast are 54.14 and 1:58.99, and he also swims the 100 fly (48.45), 100 free (44.90) and 200 IM (1:49.95). Kozlovskij was also a World and European Junior Championships participant.
Coach Rhodenbaugh: "His converted times are already faster than our school record in the 100 breast. He too has shown significant improvement and with the caliber of facilities and training he will get at Missouri he will make a significant impact in our conference during his freshman year. Even at his young age, he brings a wealth of international experience to our team."
PERSONAL - Igor is the son of Natalija and Ricardas... has one sibling, Markas... plans to major in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism.
