Columbia, Mo. - Golf World announced its Top 50 male collegiate golfers on Thursday and Missouri senior Emilio Cuartero was named one of the country's top players to watch entering the 2013-14 season.

A native of Lleida, Spain, Cuartero is coming off an outstanding junior campaign where he ranked among the top players in the Southeastern Conference with a 72.2 scoring average. He earned a victory at the 2013 The Farms Collegiate (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.) with a one-shot win thanks to a final-round 71. The win was the third of his career.

Earlier this summer Cuartero claimed victory at the 2013 Spanish Amateur Championship and was named an All-America Scholar by Cleveland Golf and Srixon for his work in the classroom and steady performance on the course.

Cuartero leads Missouri into its season-opening Tiger Turning Stone Intercollegiate, Sept. 1-2. Played in Verona, N.Y., Missouri won last season's event and Cuartero enjoyed the first of his seven Top 10 finishes.
