Columbia, Mo. - Mizzou Men's Golfer, Jace Long, was named to the Division I PING Midwest All-Region Team as announced Wednesday (May 30) by the Golf Coaches Association of America. In all, 155 student-athletes across the country were named to All-Region teams which were divided among six regions, Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Central and West.

Long finished the 2011-12 season at the NCAA Regional Championships, earning a 43rd place finish. The Dixon, Mo., native marks the seventh Tiger to qualify as an individual for the NCAA Regional Championships in Mizzou history.

After a strong season, Long was named to the All-Big 12 Men's Golf Team, and he was named to the 2012 Ben Hogan Award Watch List. Regionals aside, Long earned a top-25 finish in every tournament he competed in this season, including two first place finishes. The junior golfer was also named Missouri Golf Association's 2011 Player of the Year.
