Columbia, Mo. - University of Missouri Men's Golf Head Coach Mark Leroux announced the signing of Linus Lilliedahl to a Financial Aid agreement on Tuesday. Lilliedahl, a native of Stockholm, Sweden, will attend the University of Missouri this spring and play golf for the Tigers.

"I'm very excited to welcome Linus to our program," Leroux said. "We've had tremendous success with European golfers in our program and Linus is one of the most highly regarded juniors coming into the collegiate ranks this year. Linus has a great feel for the game and will have a chance to take that next step with our facilities and competition level in the Southeastern Conference."

Lilliedahl was one of the top junior players in Sweden the past three years, earning a spot on the Swedish Junior National Team last season. The incoming freshman finished fifth at the Swedish Junior Match Play Championship and won the No. 5 Skandia Tour Regional in 2009.

Lilliedahl will begin practicing with the team next week and capped his junior career by earning a pair of Top 10 finishes in the Swedish Junior National Tournament.

Missouri Golf opens its spring season on Feb. 23-25 at the Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Grande, P.R.
