Royal Oaks Final Results
Dallas, Texas - Mizzou Men's Golf completed the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate on Tuesday (Nov. 1). The Tigers finished in 13th place with a team score of 873. Missouri played strongest in the third round, scoring 288 on the day. Junior Jace Long shot four-under par in the third round to finish one over. He finished in a tie for 24th on the tournament.
Texas A&M took first at the tournament for the third time in Royal Oaks Intercollegiate history. The Aggies had a one-stroke advantage on Duke, who finished second after shooting 831 on the tournament. Oklahoma took third with a final score of 845 followed by Augusta State with a score of 848. The Tigers finished above Army who finished with a score of 918.
With a tournament total of 214, Long (72-75-67) hit six birdies in the final round to give him a final tally of 15 birdies in the tournament. His final round total of 67 is just one stroke over his season low. Brad Moody hit three-over par in the final round to complete the tournament seven-over par. Moody closed the tournament in a tie for 51st.
Recording two birdies in the third round, Emilio Cuartero secured a tie for 54th place. Cuartero hit 69-77-75 on the tournament for a final score of 221. Nick Wilson finished one stroke back with a final tally of 222 on the tournament. He recorded two birdies on the day and his score put him in a tie for 56th. Ryan Zech finished 13-over par after hitting three-over on the third round. Zech recorded one birdie in the round to earn his best score of the tournament.
