Tigers Finish Day One at Wolf Run Intercollegiate in 10th

ZIONSVILLE, Ind. - - The Mizzou Men's Golf team turned in rounds of 298 and 304 on the first day of the Wolf Run Intercollegiate in Zionsville, Ind. on Saturday, placing it in 10th place heading into the final round.

Sophomore Peter Malnati led the Tigers on day one in Indiana, with rounds of 75 and 74, placing himself in a tie for 19th place after 36 holes with a 149 total. Malnati is one shot ahead of senior Trent Twaddle who turned in an opening round of 70, the best round of the day for the Tigers, before carding an 80 in the afternoon round.

Senior John Kelly is tied for 30th spot with a 153 (77-76) total after two rounds. Senior Shawn Jasper and redshirt freshman Bud Reynolds are among those tied for 35th place with two-round scores of 154.

Kentucky leads the tournament with a 581 total after the first two rounds. The final round will take place on Sunday.
