Mizzou Takes Fourth at Wolverine Intercollegiate

Malnati and Kelly finish in top-five as Tigers take fourth in Michigan.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - - Two Mizzou golfers finished among the top-five individually to help the Tigers to a fourth-place finish at the Wolverine Intercollegiate in Ann Arbor, Mich. Missouri turned in a final round team score of 294 and finished with a three-round total of 864, one shot out of third place and two shots behind second.

Sophomore Peter Malnati finished fourth in the individual standings with a 54-hole score of two-under-par 211 after a 74 on Sunday. He finished on shot ahead of senior John Kelly who carded a final round 72 to finish in a tie for fifth with a 212 final total.

Two Tiger sophomores, Kyle Marcolla and Ryne Fisher, finished among those tied for 41st place with three-round totals of 221. Fisher turned in the best round of the day for the Tigers with an even-par 71 on Sunday.

Junior Chris Zeller finished in a tie for 63rd place with a three-round total of 227.

Wisconsin won the tournament with a final three-round score of 851, which was 11 shots better than second place Michigan.

Next up for Missouri is the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate in Albuquerque, N.M. Sept. 16-17.

Tigers Take Fifth at Aldila Invite

Mizzou closed out its fall season by shooting an 868 in the final round of the Aldila Scenic City Invitational in Chattanooga, Tenn. The Tigers finished fifth in the event, climbing two spots after standing in seventh after two rounds of play.

The Mizzou men's golf team turned in rounds of 290 and 285 on day one of the Aldila Senic City Invite in Chattanooga, Tenn. on Monday. The Tigers' 36-hole total of 575 puts them in a tie for sixth place with Furman, 11 shots behind co-leaders Chattanooga and Wichita State.

Tigers Finish Eighth in Tennessee

Mizzou finished in eighth place at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at The Ridges after shooting a final round 300 on Sunday. The Tigers finished with a three-round total of 876, finishing one shot behind seventh-place Wake Forest and two behind sixth-place East Tennessee.

The Mizzou men's golf team stands in fourth place at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at The Ridges. After carding a 287 in Friday's opening round, the Tigers shot a round of 289 on Saturday for a two-round total of 576.
