COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou Men's Golf earned a top finish at the 2012 Columbia Orthopaedic Group Mizzou Intercollegiate on Tuesday (April 10). The Tigers shot 4-over-par in the third round to close the tournament 8-under-par. Iowa State finished second with a score 12-over-par followed by Austin Peay at 16-over-par. Mizzou Freshman Ryan Zech earned his first individual title closing the third round 1-under-par to finish -8 on the tournament.
Junior Jace Long finished in fifth place after scoring 66-74-73--213 on the tournament. He finished the second round just 1-over-par as he notched back-to-back birdies on the back nine for a total of four on the day. Emilio Cuartero took sixth place finishing the third round at even par after recording a few bogeys early in the day. He came back with five birdies in the round and finished at even par in the tournament.
Also finishing in the top 15, Nick Wilson tied for 11th place. Wilson shot 4-over-par in the third round and closed the tournament 4-over-par. Wilson Sundvold tied for 31st in the tournament finishing 11-over-par after finishing the third round with a score of 76.
Playing as an individual, Adam Rosenthal tied for 17th in the tournament scoring 76-70-76--222 through three rounds. Brad Moody tied for 36th place as an individual as well. He recorded his best score in the third round, tallying two birdies and finishing 1-over-par.
Hunter Krause finished in a tie for 45th place as he scored 79-73-78--230 through three rounds and Tommie Wuennenberg tied for 54th with a final score 17-over-par. Chris Johnson finished 20-over-par after scoring 78-77-81 at the tournament, while Dakyn Dollens closed the tournament 23-over-par.
