Men's Golf in Third after First Day at The Farms Invitational

Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.- Mizzou Men's Golf is in third place after the first two rounds of play at The Farms Invitational, finishing 19-over par. The Tigers (294-301--595) sit below St. Mary's who is in second place with a score 7-over par. San Diego State leads the tournament, finishing the day 2-over par. Individually, Mizzou's Emilio Cuartero and Nick Wilson lead the Tigers in a tie for 12th at the tournament. The two finished the day just 2-over par after hitting 76-71--147 and 71-76--147, respectively, in the first two rounds.

Freshman Ryan Zech finished the first two rounds just 6-over par to sit in a tie for 23rd in the tournament. Jace Long is just one shot behind Zech as he completed the day 7-over par after hitting 74-77--151. In a tie for 53rd, Wilson Sundvold (81-79--160) is currently 13-over par after the first day of play.

Tommie Wuennenberg is playing as an individual in the tournament, and he currently sits in a tie for 65th place. He hit 78-85--163 on the day.

The final round of the 2012 The Farms Invitational will be played tomorrow at the Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. The tournament is being played on a 6,947 yard, par-72 course. Keep checking in to MUTigers.com for updates on Mizzou Men's Golf.
