Mizzou Finishes 13th in South Florida

DADE CITY, Fla. - The Missouri men's golf team finished in 13th place at the USF Invitational in Dade City, Fla. with a three-round total of 876. The Tigers shot a final round 296 on Sunday. Senior Peter Malnait turned in the best round of the day for Mizzou with a one-under-par 71. He birdied his first hole of the day and at one point stood at three-under-par. Malnati had a pair of 73s to open the tournament and finished in a tie for 22nd place with a 54-hole score of 217. Malnati's 217 was one shot behind fellow senior Ryne Fisher, who was the highest placing Tiger in the tournament. Fisher carded a 74 on Sunday and finished in a tie for 18th place with a 216 total. Sophomore Will Hogan tied for 34th place with a 218 total (72-72-74), while sophomore William Harrold tied for 83rd spot with a 226 score. Sophomore Tyler Hillis had a three-round total of 235. The Tigers finished two shots behind 12th place Jacksonville State and were four shots out of a tie for 10th spot. Next up for Missouri is the Spring Break Championship, which will be played March 27-29 in Del Ray Beach, Fla.
