Football Fan Primer - Mizzou vs. Kansas State

The University of Missouri will welcome a sellout crowd of over 68,000 fans to Saturday's football game against Kansas State. Kickoff for the 13th-ranked Tigers' game is set for 6:00 p.m. and the game is being televised live on FSN. With tickets being sold out, Tiger fans' best bet to secure tickets is through the official secondary provider of Mizzou Athletics, Seat Exchange. Visit www.seatexchange.com for details.

Here are some news/notes/tips for fans to keep in mind when coming to this weekend's game...

• ARRIVE EARLY - Due to the sellout, fans are encouraged to arrive early and make plans to enter the stadium early, so that they don't miss any of the game. Long lines can form outside of the stadium just before kickoff, and with security checks of bags, it can take awhile to get into the stadium. For those picking up already-purchased tickets, the ticket offices at both Mizzou Arena and on the North side of Memorial Stadium open Saturday at 3:00 p.m...
• SENIOR DAY - Saturday will be Senior Day, with a class of 23 seniors being recognized on the field prior to kickoff. Tiger fans are encouraged to get to their seats at least a half-hour prior to kickoff to pay tribute to the winningest senior class in MU school history (34 wins over four years is an MU record)...
• WEAR BLACK - This Saturday represents the annual Blackout game, with all fans being encouraged to wear black. A commemorative souvenir Blackout T-shirt is available at the Tiger Team Store. The Team Store is located on the North concourse of Memorial Stadium, with the store opening at 10 a.m. Saturday. Additionally, the Tiger Team Store located in the lobby of Mizzou Arena will be open Saturday from 12 p.m. until kickoff...
• MIZZOUGAMEDAY.COM - A new website has been created to provide updated information for Tiger fans, including maps, traffic flow, parking and tailgating information, and much more. Fans are encouraged to visit www.mizzougameday.com for details...
• NEW MIZZOU FAN FEEDBACK FORUM - Have a question about Mizzou Athletics, or an opinion to share about an experience at a Tiger home game? Fans are invited to share these with the Athletic Department by visiting www.mutigers.com, and clicking on the "Fan Forum Feedback" button, located on the front page, to let us know what you think. After each game the most common fan questions are noted and addressed...
• ATTEND TIGER WALK - Approximately two hours and 15 minutes prior to kickoff (3:45 p.m. this Saturday), the Mizzou team will arrive via bus at the Mizzou Athletics Training Complex, and the team and coaches will walk across the Tiger Walk Bridge, spanning Providence Road, and walk down behind the stadium...
• WRESTLING BLACK & GOLD SCRIMMAGE - The 5th-ranked Tiger wrestling team will hold its annual Black & Gold wrestling matches Saturday at 3 p.m. on the main floor of the Hearnes Center. There is no admission fee and fans are welcome to come out and cheer on the team...
• PARKING INFORMATION - Due to the sellout crowd, donor parking lots will be opened at 8 a.m. this Saturday, which is earlier than the normal opening time of 10 a.m. for games that kickoff at 6 p.m. or later. Please note that general parking at Maryland Avenue Garage will open at the standard time of Noon, with Reactor Field parking opening at 3:00 p.m. Tailgating tents should not exceed 10'x10' and may not be set up prior to Saturday morning when the parking lots open...
