LOTT TROPHY (Sean Weatherspoon)
The Lott Trophy was established by The Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation to honor college football's Defensive IMPACT Player of the Year. The IMPACT award recognizes college football's Defensive Player of the Year who best exemplifies Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.
The award is unique because it represents the first trophy to give equal weight to personal character as well as athletic performance from a defensive college player and is the first national college football award based on the West Coast.
LOWE’S SENIOR CLASS AWARD (Chase Daniel)
Daniel has also been named a finalist for the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award, which honors the nation’s top senior who excels in the classroom, in the community who demonstrates outstanding character and brings a spirit of competition to their sport.
An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School, the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages those leaders to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact on their circle of influence.
Fan balloting counts for 1/3 of the total with the remaining 2/3 determined by NCAA Division I coaches and national media members. Fans are able to vote online once per day, and Tiger fans are encouraged to go online and vote for Daniel.
