Weekend Football Fan Primer - Mizzou vs. Buffalo

Columbia, Mo. – The University of Missouri will welcome over 65,000 fans to Saturday’s football game against Buffalo. Kickoff for the 5th-ranked Tigers’ game is set for 1:00 p.m. A limited amount of general admission tickets remain available for the game, and can be ordered on the phone by calling 1-800-CAT-PAWS (884-PAWS in Columbia), or can be purchased at the MU Ticket Office at Mizzou Arena (open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday and from 9 a.m. until gametime Saturday) or Saturday at the North Endzone Ticket Office at Memorial Stadium (open at 9 a.m. Saturday). Here are some news/notes/tips for fans to keep in mind when coming to this weekend’s game… · MIZZOUGAMEDAY.COM – A new website has been created to provide updated information for Tiger fans, including maps, traffic flow, parking and tailgating information, and much more. Fans are encouraged to visit www.mizzougameday.com for details… · WEAR GOLD – Fans are encouraged to wear gold to all games, with the exception of the Blackout game (Nov. 8th). The Tiger Team Store, located on the North concourse of Memorial Stadium, has plenty of gold-colored merchandise on sale, with the store opening at 8 a.m. Saturday. Additionally, the Tiger Team Store located in the lobby of Mizzou Arena will be open Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m… · FAMILY WEEKEND/BAND DAY – This Saturday’s game is the annual Family Weekend tribute, as well as Band Day, with as many as 21 area high school bands set to perform on Faurot Field… · BASEBALL TEAM SCRIMMAGE – The Mizzou Tiger baseball team, coming off yet another top-25 ranked season, will hold a scrimmage Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. at Simmons Field/Taylor Stadium. The scrimmage is open and free to the public… · ATTEND TIGER WALK – Approximately two hours and 15 minutes prior to kickoff (10:45 a.m. this Saturday), the Mizzou team will arrive via bus at the Mizzou Athletics Training Complex, and the team and coaches will walk across the Tiger Walk Bridge, spanning Providence Road, and walk down behind the stadium… · BE LOUD, BE RESPECTFUL, BE RESPONSIBLE – Fans make a difference for the team when they’re loud, and they’re encouraged to continue to help make “The Zou” one of the toughest places in which to play for opponents – MU is an impressive 27-6 at Faurot Field since 2003. Along with that, fans are always expected to be respectful of visitors and those around them, and to be responsible with their actions… · PARKING INFORMATION – The standard parking lot opening time of 8 a.m. for donor lots and Reactor Field will be in effect this week.
